CUET PG 2026 Answer Key Out: How to Raise Objections and Calculate Marks

The wait is finally over for thousands of postgraduate aspirants across India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has uploaded the CUET PG 2026 answer key and the recorded response sheets for the Common University Entrance Test (Postgraduate). With the exam conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format across multiple shifts from March 6 to March 30, 2026, students can now verify their performance and estimate their scores before the final results are announced.

How to Download CUET PG 2026 Provisional Answer Key

Candidates can access their answer keys by logging into the official NTA website using their credentials. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth download:

  1. Visit the official CUET PG portal at exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/.

  2. Click on the link titled "Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key" on the homepage.

  3. Login using your Application Number and Password or Date of Birth.

  4. Once logged in, your dashboard will display options to "View Answer Sheet" (your recorded responses) and "View/Challenge Answer Key."

  5. Download the PDF files for both the response sheet and the provisional key to compare your answers.

Step-by-Step Guide to Raising Objections

If you find any discrepancy in the provisional answer key, NTA provides a window to challenge the answers. The objection window is active from April 11 to April 14, 2026 (up to 10:00 AM).

  • Select the Question: Choose the Question ID you wish to challenge.

  • Upload Evidence: You must upload a supporting document in a single PDF file to justify your claim.

  • Pay the Processing Fee: A non-refundable fee of INR 200 per question challenged is required.

  • Payment Mode: The fee can be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Understanding the Marking Scheme

To calculate your estimated score using the CUET PG 2026 answer key, apply the following NTA marking criteria:

  • Correct Answer: +4 marks

  • Incorrect Answer: -1 mark (Negative Marking)

  • Unattempted Question: 0 marks

What Happens After the Challenge Window?

Subject experts will review all challenges submitted by candidates. If an objection is found valid, the answer key will be revised for all candidates. The CUET PG 2026 Final Answer Key will then be released, which will serve as the basis for the final result declaration, expected in the first week of May 2026.
