The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has activated the online application link for the SSC MTS & Havaldar Examination 2026 on its official web portal.
Key Pre-requisites Before Starting the Application
Before launching the official browser page, gather all essential credentials to complete your form smoothly. The portal automatically logs users out if a session idles for too long, so keep these items right at your fingertips:
An active, accessible mobile number and personal email address for OTP validations.
An official identification card, preferably an Aadhaar Card.
If unavailable, gather your Voter ID, PAN card, or Driving License. Your Class 10 (Matriculation) mark sheet specifying the accurate Roll Number, Board Name, and Year of Passing.
A scanned copy of your signature matching the precise dimension constraints.
The Step-by-Step Online Application Procedure
The Staff Selection Commission manages all operations through its unified web portal. The submission procedure requires candidates to establish a permanent account before executing the specific exam application.
Navigate to the official portal at ssc.gov.in. Locate the 'Login or Register' button on the homepage and click 'Register Now'. Provide your basic demographic data, contact numbers, and identification card details. Verify your profile instantly using the separate OTPs sent to your mobile and email to receive your permanent Registration Number.
Return to the homepage and log in using your newly generated Registration Number and password. Look for the 'Latest Notifications' dashboard, find the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2026 listing, and click on the 'Apply' button.
Your basic data from the OTR phase will load automatically. Scroll down to enter your specific choices, including selecting three preferred exam cities within the same geographical SSC region. Choose your preferred Computer-Based Examination medium from the available regional languages and fill out your highest academic qualification.
Capture your live photograph via a web camera or mobile app, ensuring clear lighting, no eyewear, and both ears visible. Next, upload your pre-scanned signature file in JPEG format, ensuring the file size ranges strictly between 10 KB to 20 KB to prevent automated software rejection.
Thoroughly review the generated preview page to ensure your name, date of birth, and marks match your certificates. Proceed to the online payment module to pay the nominal ₹100 application fee via UPI, Net Banking, or Debit Cards (exempted for all female, SC, ST, and PwBD applicants). Click 'Final Submit' and print your confirmation receipt.
Critical Warning: Your personal details like name, father's name, and date of birth must match your matriculation certificate exactly. The portal allows corrections only during a temporary, dedicated application correction window, and any mismatch discovered during document verification will result in immediate disqualification.
