In a season where 200 has often been breached, 181 on this surface is a "tricky" total—high enough to defend with scoreboard pressure, yet gettable if the chasing side finds their rhythm early.

The highlight of the KKR innings was the stability provided by the top order. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane rolled back the years with a brisk 41 off just 24 balls, playing with a strike rate of 170.83 that set the perfect tone. However, it was the young Angkrish Raghuvanshi who once again stole the spotlight. His 45 off 33 balls showed a level of maturity far beyond his years, mixing aggression with calculated strike rotation.
When these two were at the crease, KKR looked set for 200. LSG’s bowlers, however, pulled things back remarkably well in the middle overs. Digvesh Rathi was the standout for the visitors, finishing his four overs with figures of 1/25, proving to be the most economical bowler on a night where others traveled at over 10 runs per over.
The Late Surge by Rovman Powell
As the innings approached the death overs, LSG seemed to have the upper hand, restricting the flow of boundaries. But Rovman Powell’s unbeaten 39 off 24 deliveries provided the late impetus KKR needed. His ability to clear the ropes in the final two overs pushed the score from a mediocre 160-range to a formidable 181.
For LSG, the chase won't be easy. While the dew factor at Eden Gardens usually aids the team batting second, they will need to contend with a KKR bowling attack that knows these conditions intimately. The target of 182 requires a steady start and at least one of their big hitters—Rishabh Pant or Nicholas Pooran—to stay until the end.
