Laxmi Bhandar Today News: Know the New Monthly Amount in 2026!
The West Bengal government made a major announcement today (6 February 2026) while presenting the state’s interim budget in the Assembly. Under the Laxmi Bhandar scheme, the monthly financial assistance for beneficiaries has been increased by ₹500.
The revised amounts are:

General category women — earlier ₹1,000 → now ₹1,500 per month

SC/ST women — earlier ₹1,200 → now ₹1,700 per month
The increased amount will come into effect from February 2026, as officially announced.
