Odisha 10th Result 2026: Top Rankers Announced – Who Scored Highest?

The wait for over five lakh students ended today as the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, declared the Class 10 (Matric) results. In a press conference held at 4:00 PM, the board officials confirmed that the academic performance of the state has reached a new high. Out of the 5.36 lakh students who appeared for the exams held between February 19 and March 2, 2026, a total of 5,19,251 students successfully cleared the hurdle.

The overall pass percentage stands at 95.33%, a notable improvement from the previous year's 94.69%. This year, the results were made available in both Odia and English for the first time, ensuring better accessibility for all students and parents.

Top Performing Districts: Gajapati Leads the Way

While the board has moved away from publishing an individual "Topper List" to reduce academic pressure, the district-wise performance highlights where the highest scorers are concentrated. Gajapati district has emerged as the state topper with a staggering pass percentage of 99.31%.

Grade Distribution: A Rise in A1 Scorers

A key highlight of the 2026 results is the record number of students achieving perfect scores. Approximately 3,310 schools reported a 100% pass rate. Furthermore, the grade-wise breakdown reveals a high level of excellence among the candidates:

  • A1 Grade (90% and above): 2,456 students

  • A2 Grade (80-89%): 15,681 students

  • B1 Grade (70-79%): 43,565 students

To pass the examination, students were required to score a minimum of 30% in each subject and 33% in aggregate. Those who did not meet the criteria will have the opportunity to improve their scores through the upcoming supplementary examinations.
