The PUBG Mobile 4.4 update, titled Hero's Crown, has officially descended upon Erangel and Livik, bringing with it the grandeur of Greek mythology. While most players are busy fighting the Centaur boss or riding the Sun Chariot, a deeper layer of tactical mechanics and hidden rewards awaits those who know where to look. Beyond the flashy lightning bolts and mythical trials lie several "hidden" features and optimizations that can significantly alter your gameplay strategy.
1. The Sun Chariot’s "Secret" Passenger Ability
The Sun Chariot is widely known as the update's premiere flying vehicle, but many players fail to utilize its full utility. While it excels at map rotations, it also functions as a mobile scouting station.
Thermal Vision: When hovering at maximum altitude, the passenger seat allows for a subtle thermal-outline effect on enemies hidden in dense grass, provided they are within 100 meters.
Auto-Healing: Staying inside a parked Sun Chariot in the Crown’s Abode slowly restores your health up to 75% without consuming bandages.
2. Hidden Loot in the Temple of Olympus
The Temple of Olympus is a hot-drop for a reason, but the best loot isn't always in the central altar.
The Breakable Vases: Scattered throughout the temple corridors are small, glowing blue vases. Breaking these can drop high-tier consumables like Adrenaline Syringes or even the Laurel - M1 Garand attachments that are otherwise rare.
Secret Chests: Behind the throne of the Centaur boss, there is a destructible wall segment. Using a grenade or the Centaur’s own stomp attack will reveal a "Sacred Chest" containing a Level 3 Helmet and Vest.
3. Exploiting the "Icarus Trial" Wings
The Icarus Trial grants players temporary flight capabilities, but the "hidden" feature here is the Dive Attack. Most players use the wings just for repositioning. However, if you deactivate the wings while at high altitude directly above an enemy, you can initiate a high-speed dive that nullifies fall damage upon landing and deals a small area-of-effect (AoE) stun to nearby opponents.
4. Tactical Advantage: The Roadster’s Turbo-Slide
The new two-seater Roadster isn't just about speed; it features a unique physics mechanic. By holding the "Turbo" button and the handbrake simultaneously while turning, you can perform a "Snap Drift." This maneuver allows you to turn 180 degrees almost instantly, making it the perfect vehicle for escaping ambushes in tight urban areas like Pochinki or Yasnaya Polyana.
