The stadium is absolutely buzzing as Bengaluru's own Devdutt Padikkal has taken the SRH bowling attack to the cleaners. After the early dismissal of Phil Salt for 8, Padikkal stepped onto the crease with clear intent, proving exactly why he was brought in as the Impact Player for Jacob Duffy.
Padikkal’s Power-Hitting Masterclass
Padikkal did not take any time to settle. He welcomed David Payne with back-to-back sixes and followed it up by dismantling Nitish Kumar Reddy’s rhythm. His ability to find the ropes through both the off-side and over the leg-side has left the Sunrisers' fielders scrambling. He brought up his 50 in the 8th over, a knock decorated with 6 fours and 3 massive sixes.
The Kohli Factor
While Padikkal has been the aggressor, Virat Kohli has been surgical at the other end. Kohli has focused on rotating the strike but hasn't missed out on the loose balls, including a signature slog sweep for six over deep mid-wicket. Their partnership has already crossed the 70-run mark, putting the pressure squarely on the SRH captain, Ishan Kishan.

Bowling Performance:
- Jaydev Unadkat: 1 wicket for 23 runs (2 overs)
- Harshal Patel: 0 wickets for 6 runs (0.4 overs)
- Eshan Malinga: 0 wickets for 13 runs (1 over)
The Road Ahead
RCB now needs 107 runs in 74 balls. With the current run rate at 12.39, they are well ahead of the required 8.68. However, the introduction of SRH's primary spinners in the next few overs could prove to be the turning point. Can Padikkal and Kohli finish the job, or will SRH find a way to break this dangerous stand?
